Trophy Tour: David Trezeguet at Mouelle Kombi; Eto’o absent
Special audience at Narcisse Mouelle Kombi this Friday
• He receives a delegation led by David Trezeguet
• The FIFA trophy will be presented
The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Prof Narcisse Mouelle Kombi will receive the FIFA delegation carrying the trophy for the next Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Carried by the French champion David Trezeguet, the trophy arrived this Thursday in Yaoundé aboard a special flight from partner Coca Cola.
After the audience with Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, the delegation will visit Cameroonian Prime Minister Dion Ngute to present him with the trophy.
To complete the stay of the trophy on Cameroonian soil, it will be presented this Friday, to the public of Yaoundé, at the Sports Palace located at the Warda crossroads opposite the Carrefour hypermarket.
Several glories of Cameroonian football are announced for the occasion. For the time being, Samuel Eto’o has not commented on the subject.
It should be remembered that this is a FIFA tradition. As a prelude to the Qatar 2022 World Cup which will be announced next November, the FIFA trophy will tour the 31 nations qualified for the competition.
The 31 nations will see the trophy placed on their territory before the last stop in Doha on the eve of the first whistle.
Led by French world champion David Trezeguet, the FIFA World Cup 2022 trophy spent two days in Ghana on September 3 and 4, 2022, then in Senegal on September 6 and 7, 2022 before stopping in Cameroon on September 8 and September 9, 2022.
