Towards the launching of “SANGO”, the First Central Africa BITCOIN (cryptocurrency)

After the announcement of the adoption of Bitcoin as a reference currency, last April, the Central African Republic is about to launch “Sango”, the first national Cryto initiative project aimed at creating opportunities for all those who believe in crypto-investment.

Faustin-Archange Touadera is shifting into high gear after adopting Bitcoin as his currency of choice. The Central African President is committed to rethinking his country’s economic philosophy through the launch, in the coming days, of “Sango,” a new mode of economic governance based on digital investments. “We will take a new step with the launch of the Sango project, the most ambitious, innovative and surprising initiative to transform the economy” of the CAR, said the leader, in a press release.

According to the same source, “Sango” also aims to build a Legal Crypto Hub in the heart of the continent. This project “can open a new economic era with enormous potential that neither Africa nor the rest of the world has imagined,” the Central African President said. “My greatest wish is that this project will be accessible to all, that it will open new ways, that it will be a world example and that the benefits it will generate will become vectors of economic performance for our country,” he added.

Note that the Central African Republic is the first African country to have adopted Bitcoin as a reference currency alongside the CFA franc. The adoption of this virtual currency followed the enactment in this African country of the law governing the crypto-currency
