THE PROFILE OF ETOO FILS AND POLITICAL LEADERSHIP IN CAMEROON

The succession of Samuel Eto’o is being prepared in the seraglio

– Paul Biya has a plan for his succession

– The profile of Samuel Eto’o is worrying

Invited on the sets of Dash Tv in the program Prime Time, the Cameroonian journalist Suzanne Kala Lobè analyzes the profile of potential candidates to succeed Paul Biya. Even if the Head of State is preparing his succession, his project would be completely different from what the press has been saying for a while, according to the journalist who has serious doubts about the ability of the current close collaborators of the Head of State to govern Cameroon after Paul Biya. On the opposition side, the journalist believes that the opponents of Paul Biya’s regime are more into protest than into proposing a real alternative.

“The alternative for the opposition is to break the codes. That is to say, to get out of the tribal logic, the ethnic logic and federate us on a real project. They do not have a project for Cameroon. They have challenges to the way things are going,” she said.

The mythical Samuel Eto’o

As many Cameroonians thought, the election of Samuel Eto’o to head the Cameroon Football Federation on December 11, 2021 despite the support of the entire Biya regime to his opponent worries in the seraglio. Beyond his ability to confront the dinosaurs that surround Paul Biya, Samuel Eto’o embodies today the other Cameroon that many Cameroonians dream of.
“Eto’o’s election has created a small legend and a myth. Eto’o represents that category of Cameroonians to whom everything has succeeded, who presents images of excellence and excellence to the point where it was thought that he could compete with possibly another political candidate. Everyone needs to dream of a new Cameroon. Eto’o’s profile makes people think that a new Cameroon is possible,” explains the journalist.

The misunderstood

Kala Lobè has chosen to live with Bea Man Wayack. They also decided not to have children. On October 5, 2020, she lost her childhood home in Bali in an unexplained fire.
She obtained a PhD in Linguistics in 1976 from the University of Paris III and an MBA in Cultural Management in 1989. With her thesis on “Les grandeurs et dissidences au sein d’un parti politique: cas de l’UPC”, she also obtained a DEA in Political Science in 1997 at the University of Bordeaux.

Whatever she does, Suzanne Kala Lobé, shocks by her iconoclastic positions. But both her supporters and detractors recognize her as having a clear understanding of the analysis of social issues. Arriving in France at the age of 10, the young woman is committed. Certainly in her studies of African linguistics at the University of Paris-III, but also in the reintegration of young people in the Parisian suburbs. Influenced by the events of May 1968, whose ideals she shared, she made activism her driving force. The death of her father, one of the founders of Présence africaine in 1991 precipitated her return to Cameroon. “I understood the gaps I was discovering, I knew there was a space to build, I felt free, it was a challenge,” she recalls.
