The (BIR) Found The Solution

• Two new BIR border posts have just been built

• One at Libongo in the district of Salapoumbe

• the other at Gari-Gombo

Two new border posts of the Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR) have just been built in six months. One in Libongo in the district of Salapoumbe, and the other in Gari-Gombo. They were recently inaugurated by the Chief of the Defense Staff, Lieutenant General René Claude Meka.

These new border posts of the BIR, an elite unit of the Cameroonian army, aim to strengthen the security of the eastern region, bordering the Central African Republic and regularly threatened by incursions by armed Central African rebels.

The presence of the army is sufficiently dissuasive for the enemies and persuasive for the populations according to the mayors of the two communes. The defense and security forces invite the populations of these two localities and many others to provide them with good information for forecasting intelligence.

A synergy of actions that will contain or even stop the incursions of these rebels on Cameroonian territory. Incursions which are generally accompanied by the looting of fauna and flora, kidnappings with ransom demands and a slowdown in economic activity.

Military operation in the North-West: the BIR captures a separatist general

A pseudo general captured, several separatist terrorists neutralized, various weapons and equipment used in the manufacture of improvised explosive devices seized, such is the outcome of a military operation in the North West region.

War continues to wreak havoc in the English-speaking area of Cameroon, which has been plagued by conflict between separatist factions and loyalist forces in Yaoundé for several years now.
Every day with its share of dramas. The victims are multiplying on both sides.

Two days ago, in the locality Guzang, located in the department of Momo and the North-West Region and part of the municipality of Batibo has just been hit by a drama. Indeed, the death of three young people in circumstances not yet elucidated is reported. But, already, we are pointing the accusing finger at the military

“The army is accused of having killed these 3 young people last night during an operation in Guzang, a village located in the department of Momo. The exact film of the events is not known but according to some inhabitants the presence of the soldiers last night in their village resulted in the death of these young people in no way linked to the Ambazonians”, underlines the whistleblower Nzui Manto.

Regularly, military blunders are reported in localities of NOSO. But only, no investigation is carried out to find the culprits so that they answer for their actions.

The North-West and South-West, English-speaking regions of Cameroon, have for several years been plagued by a bloody conflict between armed groups who are demanding the independence of the two regions under the name of Ambazonia and the Cameroonian defense forces. .

Part of the English-speaking minority feels marginalized in Cameroon, a former French colony populated mainly by French-speakers.
Civilians are frequently targeted and abused by both sides, according to international NGOs and the UN.
