The Governor of the West Region of Cameroon, Awa Fonka Augustine, visited the site of the terrorist attack that killed several gendarmes on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.
In the West region, in the locality of Kouoptamo, terrorist separatists targeted gendarmes in an attack. A total of five gendarmes were killed in the attack.
Governor Awa Fonka Augustine, who visited the scene of the attack, denounced this barbaric act perpetrated by the separatists. On behalf of the President of the Republic, Paul Biya, the head of the territorial administration in the Western region brought a message of compassion.
Awa Fonka Augustine also urged the population to cooperate with the defense and security forces in order to neutralize the separatists who carried out the attack.
