The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are expected at the Qatar 2022 World Cup as well as at the African Cup of Nations – CAN 2023. For these two continental meetings, the coach Rigobert Song Bahanag can count on several players ready to wet the jersey. One of them is Joseph Jonathan Ngwem.

The Cameroonian international Joseph Jonathan Ngwem is currently playing at Future FC in Egypt. His team won the League Cup against Ghazl El Mahalla with a score of five (05) goals against one (01).

Thirty (30) year old left-back defender Joseph Jonathan Ngwem and Future FC thus won the first edition of the competition organized by the league. It is also the first trophy won by the club in its entire history.

This season,Joseph Jonathan Ngwem played twenty-three (23) league games and contributed as much as possible to the success of the club.

With his performances, he can claim a place in the selection at the next deadlines, especially if he continues on this same momentum. He would be a very good competitor for Nouhou Tolo who managed to get everyone to agree thanks to his successful matches during the African Cup of Nations football (CAN Cameroon 2021).

Joseph Jonathan Ngwem , born on July 20, 1991 in Cameroon, obtained his first selection for the Cameroon team on October 31, 2015 against Congo (0-1 victory).

He then participated in the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2016) organized in Rwanda. Cameroon reached the quarter-finals of the competition, being beaten by Côte d’Ivoire.

In January 2017, he was selected by coach Hugo Broos to compete in the African Cup of Nations (CAN 2017) which took place in Gabon.
