RECONSTRUCTION OF THE ANGLOPHONE REGIONS, WHAT GAME ARE PAUL TASONG AND THE PM PLAYING
The security crisis taking place in the north-west and south-west regions is obviously not about to end. Indeed, many testimonies recorded here and there report a situation still under tension in these two regions. However, the regime having, and that we hope, the concern to want to put an end to this situation implemented the great national dialogue at the end of which two emblematic figures of these two regions were chosen for the mediation: Paul Tasong and Prime Minister Joseph NDION Ngute. However, we unfortunately realize that the two protagonists still cannot agree on the methods of approach.
We are therefore in a squabble that only takes on its full meaning in a powerist desire to curry favor with a population that only asks to live in peace and quietly go about their daily business in these regions.
Unfortunately, and this is an alarming observation, we are still in internal fights which do not solve the problem of the Anglophone crisis. Indeed, the prime minister in an outing clearly disavowed the one who was chosen as the coordinator of the president’s plan for the reconstruction of the northwestern and southwestern regions.
He is criticized for not being sufficiently in the field of operations and therefore totally cut off from the realities on the ground. A situation, which obviously is not likely to facilitate this reconstruction plan put in place by the government. This problem is therefore the result of a poor casting of the regime in the choice of those who know the real demands of the populations of this geographical area of Cameroon. Should we expect a change in the cast? That’s the whole question.
