PAUL BIYA REMOVES FOOD FROM THE MOUTH OF HOPEFUL TEACHERS, END DIRECT INTEGRATION

Paul Biya puts an end to the direct integration of teachers from ENS and ENSET

These directives are contained in a letter co-signed by Professor Jacques Fame Ndongo and Joseph LE, addressed to Séraphin Magloire Fouda on May 19, 2022.

While the movement On a trop supporté (OTS) threatens to boycott the official examinations of the year 2022, the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education and the Minister of the Civil Service have just passed on to the Secretary General of the Prime Minister’s Office, the “implementation of presidential directives relating to the situation of teachers,” reads the subject of the letter.

After examining the texts, it was agreed to “consider the year 2022 as a transitional year during which Minesup would proceed with the organization of entrance examinations to the Ecoles Normales Supéreurs (Ens) and the Ecoles Normales Supérieures de l’Enseignement Technique (Enset),” the two ministers said.

It was also decided to “proceed with reforming the texts organizing the Ens and Enset with regard to what appeared to be a contradiction between the regulatory provisions governing access to these schools and those of integration into the civil service,” they continued.

In addition, it will be necessary to “maintain the rights acquired for students admitted until 2022 who will be automatically integrated into the civil service at the end of their training” and to “separate from the year 2023, the training functions of those of integration into the civil service; This means that Minesup will continue to organize entrance examinations to the Ens and Enset in the State civil service, while Minfopra will proceed to the organization of direct competitions for the integration of Ens and Enset graduates into the State civil service, taking into account the needs expressed by Minesec as well as the budgetary availability,” it says.

The PR has also instructed members of the government to inform the public of these new provisions and “to introduce in the curricula of training Ens and Enset from the academic year 2022-2023, teaching units relating to administrative law, law of the Civil Service and ethics and administrative ethics,” they reported.

In the same vein, it was requested to “identify students who have benefited from a return on title in the Ens and Enset.
