Multiple sources say the soldier threatened to shoot him due to a land dispute that has been going on for more than six months now. What is happening and reported by a neighbor is that the alleged military officer, from whom we obtained the name of Mr. Ekwasum Stephen, allegedly encroached on the land by prolonging his construction works. When the owner complained, he allegedly threatened to kill him if he reproached him for interfering on his land again. came out with his gun and threatened everyone. He even broke the door and told them he was the law, ”said the relative of the victim.

Feeling thus in danger, Mr. Akwenta Lucas, the owner of the land, would have reported to the authorities that he is the victim of death threats by the soldier and the gendarmerie who is on the file are trying to reconcile them. After examining the file, investigators from the Limbe gendarmerie felt that Akenta Lucas was right, except that the soldier who continued to threaten him was not punished for having used his weapon to threaten a civilian.

Such events have become common in the English-speaking regions since the start of the armed conflict. Innocent civilians increasingly victims of threats from armed men. Between kidnapping, assassination, bullying and demand for ransom, civilians no longer know which way to turn.
