French presidential election: election results leaked in Cameroon
The French Embassy in Yaoundé has released the results of the first round of the French presidential election in Cameroon.
The results of the ballot in Cameroon show that the majority of French people living in Cameroon voted the outgoing president, Emmanuel Macron, in the lead with 213 votes.
He is followed by the candidate of the Union Populaire, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, with 182 votes.
Then come Éric Zemmour 57 votes, Valérie Pécresse with 45 votes and Marine Le Pen who obtains 44 votes.
In France, the results placed Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen in the lead after the first round. The two candidates will face each other in the second round this Sunday, April 24, 2022.
