Florence Ayafor: 2 alleged assXssins in front of the Yaounde military court

Enlisted before this special court since August 2020, the case of this prison guard brutally killed September 30, 2019 in the North-West region by alleged separatists has just been postponed to January 21, 2020.
Listed on the role of the military court of Yaoundé of December 17, the Florence Ayafor case was postponed to January 21, 2021. The grounds for referral are: the production of witness lists by the defense and the prosecution, the constitution of the list of counsel, the production birth certificates of beneficiaries and successors, here, the children of Florence Ayafor.



Two suspected murderers are charged by the prosecution. They are Niba Innocent Akuma and Ngang Edmond. They are notably accused of “coacting acts of terrorism, secession, assassination and lack of CNI (national identity card)”. The Case was enrolled in “direct trial order”, in other words, it did not go through the examining magistrate.

46-year-old prison warden, Florence Ayafor was kidnapped on September 29, 2019, not far from Santa (North-West region of Cameroon), when she was returning from the funeral. She will be raped, tortured and beheaded on September 30, 2019. Her torture and execution will be filmed by her executioners and broadcast on social networks.

On July 10 in Yaoundé, the Ministry of Defense (Mindef) presented two alleged assassins of Florence Ayafor, arrested after investigations by Military Security, the Mindef communication had indicated.
