Worse, no FECAFOOT official was present at the Ministry of Sports to welcome the trophy carried by David Trezeguet.
But it’s not just the government that can’t digest this situation. The multinational Coca Cola, sponsor of the World Cup does not hide its desolation. Because Samuel Eto’o was invited to host the trophy in Cameroon but did not even deny answering Coca Cola.
Indeed, since July 22, 2022, the president of FECAFOOT has been informed of the arrival of the trophy in Cameroon. Coca Cola invited Fécafoot to take an active part in this event. The chronogram was sent to him, but he did not even deny answering. Samuel Eto’o will be revived two months later, on September 7, 2022. Two days before the arrival of the trophy. Always nothing. No answer. Fécafoot will therefore have decided to boycott the arrival of the World Cup in Cameroon.
This attitude of Samuel Eto’o not to respond to partners is not new. The equipment manufacturer Coq Sportif had indicated that they sent several correspondence to FECAFOOT without ever receiving the slightest response.
Recently again, during the general meeting of CAF, Samuel Eto’o protested against the appointment of Bell. Arguing that he was not consulted. The president of CAF, Patrice Motsepe will answer him calmly: “Mr. Eto’o first of all these appointments fall under the prerogatives of CAF.
