CAN 2023 will no longer take place next year. This is what the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has just decided.
The news was announced at the moment by Patrice Motsepe, the boss of CAF, in a press conference after a meeting of the Executive Committee of CAF.
Following the decision of CAF, CAN 2023 in Côte d’Ivoire will take place in “January / February 2024”.
The boss of African football points to the climatic conditions to explain this choice of dates.
This change of dates was eagerly awaited given the latest floods suffered by Côte d’Ivoire.
