CAF Awards 2022: The complete list of 30 nominees!
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has selected a list of 30 players for the trophy of the best African player of the year 2022.
Senegal , reigning African champion, was represented by 5 players, namely Saliou Ciss, Nampalys Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy and Sadio Mané.
And unlike Algeria , outgoing African champions, which has no player in the list of 30 nominees.
This preliminary CAF list will give way to a less extensive list in the coming weeks, before finally retaining three players.
Everything suggests that the Senegalese Sadio Mané will win this personal distinction, he who won the African Cup of Nations and was on the verge of winning the Premier League and the Champions League with Liverpool.
As a reminder, the CAF Awards ceremony will take place in Morocco on July 21.
